Help me figure this one out!!? Please. Did BW actually manufacture a tall transom for 20" shafts? Or were they all short shafts?

Mine is a 1969 and (I assume) someone has redone the inner liner. There's no well.
and the transom is for a 20". There is a thich coat of non-skid and the thwart seats, when I got it, were done in painted redwood. Obviously someone before me did major work.

Duncan,

The blue 13's were short shaft transoms (15") and the tan 13's were long shaft transoms (20"). I believe the transition came in 1972.

If your boat is a '69 then it started life with a 15" transom.

Is that to say that all 72ish and later 13' BW's are 20"
