I have a 17ft montauk at my fish camp in Fla. on the Mosquito lagoon. ? what size davits do i need to safely lift the boat and set it on the sea wall. I may sell this boat for no other reason that i can't get in to the back county. But for now she's paid for so until something better comes along this will do. mark

Mcahill, your montauk most likely weighs in at about 1500# with motor, batteries, fuel, misc.... a pair of 1000# capacity davits should do the trick.. I wouldn't attempt to lift with less...??? happy fishing around El Dora etc.... my stomping grounds too! Clark... Spruce Creek Navy
