I recently inherited a Montauk clone with a next to new 90 HP Honda 4 stroke. The boat is a "Marlin". Does anyone know anything about these things? I know it's not a "real Whaler", not as good, etc. Got it. The motor rocks however and the price was right! I need a helm seat too incase anyone anyone has any ideas.

Great website, great fourm & thanks in advance for any info.

That could be a Bob Dougherty designed
boat after he first left Boston Whaler.
His new company started as Marlin but
later changed names.

It is my understanding that Edgewater started out as Marlin, but since there was already a Marlin, they had to change their name. I looked at a boat that was originally a Marlin and then switched to Edgewater. I got the serial number and called Edgewater about the boat. They were very helpful. I would get the number and give them a call if you need any information. Kelly
