Was anybody else in attendance of the country's largest lighted boat parade? I just got off the water. A great show with Donald Trump as the grand marshall. As far as Whalers go (it figures I forgot my camera, right?) I saw a nice 11' Tender, 15' Sport, 17' Montauk, and of course many of the 25' that the Police use.

I did get to go. Unfortunately not by water this year. I was supprised at the number of spectator boats that were decorated. I was also happy to see all the red, white and blue themed boats.Burntwhaler, where is Black Point ? |

Jay, the Winterfest Boat Parade is in Ft. Lauderdale. The annual event is the largest lighted boat parade in the country. It's definitely worth checking out if you get a chance, however this year's parade seemed to have fewer boats.Like Whaler4me pointed out, red white and blue was the theme, and a great one. By the way, that 11 tender was SMALL. Believe it or not, one of my buddies took an 11 Sport to where he could see Bimini, Bahamas. Is that crazy or what? |

Keys, all the cool events in that part of Fla. aren't happening when I'm there (Miami boat show). I'll be down over Christmas. We will be going to Bimini on a 43' Tiara. I can't believe that a guy went out that far to see Bimini in an 11' Whaler. You sure he didn't have seagull droppings on his binoculars. Regards, Jay |
