I need to determine the value of a 71' Nauset to settle a family situation. The boat was upgraded with a 91' 90hp vro Johnson about 6 years ago. The hull is in average shape and the console and seat are original and in need of full re-builds. The shoreline trailer is about 16 years old.

Does anyone know the approximate value or where I can get some figures? Thanks for your help.

Hi: I'm using the nada guide. I could not get a valuation for the '71 Nauset. The guide only goes back to '76 for BW products. So I'm using the $$ for a '76 Sakonnet, which will get you a "ballpark" idea of valuation. Values are "retail" Hull $985, Motor $ 1440, trailer $250. So it looks like $2675.

That said, supply/demand could alter that price to some degree.

Hope this helps some..

Hard to saydue to age but if driving and complete and original gel coat or good repaint etc. I would say between $3500 and 6500.

Bigshot is much more accurate than NADA. Plus, prices tend to be a little lower where he is (Florida), so that may raise the low end of his estimate if your somewhere where Whalers are less common.
