Hello-

I just thought i would share the results of yesterdays launch which kicks off the season for me. What a great day! I am happy to report the boat runs like a top and no problems found. The new throttle and cables work perfectly, it felt like I was driving a brand new boat!

My brother and I took "Tarheel" (our 1982 Outrage 18) out for some early season fishing up here in New England.
We started out at 6am and landed 2 Stripers (30" and 34")within the first hour. The weather started off a bit cool(about 50 degrees) the wind was blowing 15-18 Knots oput the the North. We got a little wet, but by 10:30-11am it had calmed down the temperature was up into the 60's.
What a great day.

Was anyone else out on Buzzards Bay/Cale Cod yesterday? Or anywhere else?

I would like to hear of others stories...
Please share.
Today its raining...:(

Funny, the only off season I had was between the hurricane that wandered toward Florida in October, and the time I got around to launching the boat again in February. Heated garage? I need A/C in mine!! :)

Temps in the 60's? I think the lowest I saw all winter was 50's! It's 90's out in Florida! Looking forward to "Lake Atlantic" in the next couple of weeks. Should quit with the cold fronts and level out for the summer.

I "launched" April 13. Here in Gloucester,Ma we already had a 93 degree day two weeks ago. While out that day with no warning the winds picked up to 50mph and the temp. dropped 40 degrees in less than 15 min.! Boy was it "fun" trying to tie-up with that wind blowing me away from my dock! For once in my life I wish I had bow thrusters! As soon as I left the helm, the bow would swing 90 degrees away from the dock! What a strange squall,no rain,no dark cloulds just wind. As soon as I secured the last line, the CG issued a squall warning for my area!

Forecast calls for temps around 37-degrees F and winds northerly 15-20 knots. That is not exactly boating weather. Still waiting for global warming to arrive in the Great Lakes.
