Just off the telephone with Bob and Leslie at Mills Canvas to order a new mooring cover for my 1979 Montauk with the 1972 Katama seating arrangement. They were most helpful. On this forum I have seen many mentions of Leslie's great help in the process of many folks dealings with Mills.

Regretably I was informed that she is leaving Mills today to pursue other interests.

Just thought you all might like to know. For the time being, Bob is the main contact.

That is sad news as I have dealt with Leslie and she was a great person, she will be dearly missed. As for the mooring cover you are pursuing, if you want cutouts for your lines make shure you mention it, I didn`t and had to have it done later!! Jack.

Oh god, that's why I haven't heard back about the difference between canvas for a 22 Revenge and a 22 Revenge Cuddy. This is going to be a nightmare. I hope I'm not stuck with canvas that doesn't fit.

I must say that Bob, the new guy, has given me speedier responses than I ever got from Leslie.

I waited days and days for leslie to get back to me and had to follow up with her to get the response to a simple question about canvas--ie, what size is it. Very fustrating

I will sorely miss the lady, she was always a great help. Yes, she was overloaded and many times had to wait to either consult the designer or one of the Mills to determine the correct canvas for older Whalers since there were many variations in some models.

JimH I'm sure was thankful for all the help we received getting his Revenge canvas as his the award gift in 2000 for creating this great site.

Times do change Tom

Word to the wise: If you have an unanswered e-mail sent to Leslie, give the folks at Mills a call. My dad ordered a cover for his Dauntless, but had some questions on delivery, etc. that he e-mailed to her. As of last week, the Mills people had not caught up with her e-mail backlog. He called and they took care of everything, but he might have waited a while if I didn't pass on the news of Leslie's departure to him.
