Author	Topic:   URGENT!! '87 20' Outrage
JustinAndersen	posted 06-10-2002 03:46 PM ET (US)         HELP!! I think I might have found my dream boat. I currently own a '99 Montauk which I bought new but I yarn for the wood and character of my '73 13' SS (which I sold last year) but of course I need something bigger. So... I came across today a listing in the local Boat Trader for a '87 20' Outrage with a fixed top (don't know if it's Peerless yet), a trailer and the big thing, a '87 Johnson 185hp. Anyone with an idea of a value? I just clearance from the wife and left a message at the vendors. If I like the look of a once around and it passes a survey (no water in the hull) and looks good I want it! I would really like some feedback on what you other Whaler fanatics would pay for it. David Ratusnik	posted 06-10-2002 03:57 PM ET (US)             Justin- I looked at about 15 20-22' OR's several years ago from the 80's. Saw several 20's, clean for $12-14K. Don't go beyond $14K with the '87 engine even if it runs like a top. My $'s opinion includes a good solid trailer. Nice size boat. Good Luck .03 David
