Do you folks think there are any users that are actually "closet" Boston Whaler employees? Are there any users that you guys have been suspicious about? You know those real knowledgable ones like..... Just a thought. Phatwhaler out.

Nah. I think Whaler enthusiasts are like Porsche or Morgan enthusiasts. We have more and better to say about our beloved Whalers than any sales person who is not a Whaler enthusiast. We also know more about Whalers than 90% of Whaler salespersons. Red sky at night. . . JB :) |

Good point Biggy. Jay, Rockland Whalers are the only ones I will buy and are where I draw the Classic line designation, but others feel differently, to each their own I guess. Jack. |

I shop all the time at the buidling that was erected over the original BW "shrine"..... It is now a Home Depot :-( I plan to plaster a spare BW hull sticker to the side of the new building out of respect for the sacred ground. |

jklaiber,We, I mean they, opened a manufacturing facility in Edgewater, FL in 1987 which was designed for the production of all the 18' and larger boats. The smaller models were still built in Rockland, MA, the long time place of production for Boston Whalers. Whaler even built a new headquarters in Rockland in 1988. When the company was sold to Reebock, operations were consolidated to the Edgewater location where they remain today. |

I have an 88 Outrage 18ft. Was mine made in Rockland Maine or down in the Florida Plant? Thanks |
