I need to clarify my understanding of these three models. Please make comments or corrections to this notation:

18-Outrage The "classic" as shown and described in the Reference section.

19-Outrage The hull and deck of the 18-Outrage with a newer, taller console and windshield. Hull dimensions are basically identical to 18-Outrage, just the model number was changed to 19 from 18.

What years was this model in production?

19-Outrage-II The hull of the 18-classic with a new deck mold. The deck mold was made seamless, encapsulating the fuel tank. Rear seats and lockers were added. A taller console that folded down was added. Seating options included a leaning post with many storage compartments.

What years was this model in production?

What were the dimensions and weights for this model?

I would also be interested to hear of any other major differences between these models.

I'll use the results of this inquiry to update the Reference section on these models.

Thanks for participating!

JimH - the 18 Outrage became the 19 Outrage in 1990, the year Reebock had just become owner of the Company. It was IDENTICAL to the 18 Outrage for most of the production year, with the exception of starboard rod racks and sump cover instead of the mahogany.
In 1989 BW made the fiberglass gunwales standard and the teak extra cost. A friend had one of these, and I can vouch for this information. Twin pilot chairs were standard seating.

Now, evidently, per Contender 25, in the later production run of this 1990 Outrage, they began using the new, taller console design that went into the 1991-1993 Outrages, all sizes. Kingfish has this same console in his '92 Outrage.

The Outrage II was made '92-'95. You did a pretty good job of identifying this model in the Rendezvous section (Jim Gibson's boat).

As lhg points out, the change in name from "Outrage 18" to "Outrage 19" did not conveniently coincide with the change in the console. The change from "18" to "19" was a change in name only.

The change in console occurred as early as April of 1990 as evidenced by CaptCornchowder's boat (see discussion here: http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/002379.html )

The so-called 19 Outrage II first appears in a Whaler catalog published in 1992. At this time it was still called "Outrage 19" in the catalog and featured the new interior with the third liner, elevated cockpit sole and a console yet again redesigned to be slightly different from anything before it and including an integral seat forward of the console with storage beneath it.

This model seems to have been produced without further change through the 1995 model year.

Jim,
Thanks for asking this as I am confused too. I have a 1991 19'. Is my boat the same as the old 18's except for the height of the console, seat and the lack of wood? It sure appears that way when it is in the water next to an older 18. I know there are other, fairly minor cosmetic differences, but are the basics of the hulls and decks the same?

Will - Yes.
