johnc250	posted 09-01-2002 01:09 PM ET (US)         Looking into winter storage at the boat yard. My yard stores boats on two 2x6 wooden planks running lengthwise down the boat (from bow to stern) about 10" off centerline. Is this type of storage OK on a whaler hull?

johnc250	posted 09-01-2002 04:47 PM ET (US)             Well, the boat sits on the 2" side of the planks. But the very bottom of the keel is unsupported. I know that whalers on trailers need keel rollers which support the weight (and the bunks are there for balance). The yard stores every other boat this way, but I haven't seen any whalers on the racks. I'm going to contact Chuck at BW, but any other suggestions/comments are welcome.
