anyone no where the best place to mount troling motor on montauk, I think i sold my boat and the guy wants to know where most fokes put there's I always used a transom mount but he wants it up front, makes and models also would be helpfulmark don't want this to be a deal buster I suggested greatwhite 74 hand control but he likes foot control

could he mount on port or starbord bow? depinding on the boat there is a good spot up there or you could tell him real fishermen use a transom mount and only panzies use that screwie bow mounts, and becideds what kind of wussie fisherman trolls anyway?:) on second you could look at the wood diagram for your boat and tell him one of the spots with wood is were people mount them |

The trolling motor I had on my Montauk was mounted on the front nonskid area. There is a picture of the Montauk on the hull truth trading dock board. It was a foot control with the plug installed in the front of the center console. Minn Kota 765MXT. I can send you some more pictures if you need some. JB Cornwell would be the one to ask. |

looks like a good place to put in a plug for 4 strokers... I troll at 1.2 mph (600 RPM) with a Bearcat 85 hp on a Nauset... I have no need of a trolling motor... |

would like to thank dick the loved the photos and bought the boat, I hated to let this one go, Im suffering all ready. But there will be another around the binThight lines thanks all, Dick again thank you, if you would like me to get you more info on the casting platforms with live wells let me know. It made a big diffrence for me and the kind of fishing and boating we did, Ck out www.mosquitolagoon.com and you can see what we fish for on the east coast of fla, I have a rental home would loved to take you out and fish for monster reds or Gator Trout, maybe a Tarpon thanks again mark |
