I know where this belongs but I need to get attention....fast!

Who is going? Who is a maybe? and who can't but would like a T-shirt(trust me they are pretty nice). I need to take a head count and shirt count like ASAP! Janis needs to get the shirts made and the trip is next satuurday which is only 11 days away.

lease go to the trips and Rendezvous section and submit your answer in the "Boatoberfest" post.

Thanks and hope to see you there! Nick

I thought I'd give your Rendezvous thread a little boost in publicity. See the headline running above the forum at the moment.

We are in; both working until noon, and then coming as soon as we can get there.

We'll probably launch at the pass so that parking's not an issue, or I might prefer to go to Warner's and run the boat around.

We'll take 2 shirts (med and large). Price?

Janis said $8-10 for shirts. I had her make up 20.

Never saw the banner Jim:(

Please post your attendence in the rendezvous section under "boatoberfest" thread.

So far we have 10 Whalers that are definate, 5 strong maybes, 4-5 SeaCrafts and 3-5 misc boats. Gonna be bigger than spring so get your bow pointed towards Bradenton.

Dat post 'bout da nude beach has me an' Momma tinkin' bout dustin' off our wide-butt thongs and comin' on ova.

Nah, not ser'ously, folks! Guess dat might discourage some people from showin' up, ya know? Do wish we could join ya'll. Should be fun.

That nude beach is miles away from where we will be. For those voyeurs out there.....not really like hanging at Playboy mansion if ya know what I mean.

Really would like to make it, but the lovely and talented Mrs KeysWhale is working the Columbus Day Regatta. Sad to say but I must take the Lil Boat and see if she needs some help...
Can I get a T-shirt by email?

I already got the tattoo and you really don't want to see me in a thong

[The banner said something like "Tampa Bay Rendezvous: Clothing Optional". We used to visit Sanibel and S. Captiva and always heard rumors of clothing option beaches (Bowman Beach) but never found one--jimh]

C'mon down Jim....I know of 2 but I stay away....far away. For every good view there are 10 things that will burn your retina. Just aint worth it if you ask me.

PS. TIME IS UP!

Still working on the keg situation. Janis doubts shirts will be ready tomorrow but will be taking orders there and will mail them COD or whatever. This is actually better because you can pick your size instead of just getting an XL. Bring your business card or whatever so she gets your address. For those who can't make it, e-mail me(again if you can) your order(include your mailing address) and I will forward it to Janis. See you tomorrow! I will be there about 9:30 look for a Montauk with red "Whaler" decals on the side(big) and a blue bimini.

To take beers or knot?
BS, get there early and let that keg settle!!
I have a couple of tins of Black Beans and rice ready and my company is taking along approx 5lbs of grilling goodies.

After Saturday nite stay over, there is a Florida Sportsman party @ Florida Fishermans @ Johns Pass. Bands, food, fun oh my! What a way to finish out the weekend!

Getting the keg tonight & keeping it at the Yacht club walk-in fridge. That solves that issue. We have 1 tent thingy that we had last spring so if anyone else wants to bring a shade implement...do so. I have about 50 cups so if you want to bring your own stein you can as well. We have a small boat grill that should work fine as long as everyone does not want to eat at once. I think it will hold like 6 burgers at a clip. So far so good , Ijust hope I have enough time this evening to get it all together by 8:30 am. Better be calm out tomorrow. Swell....Will sent me 2 shirts from the "other" site, 1 is for you. See you tomorrow. My phone number is 941-545-3808 if anyone gets lost, etc.

Remember......this is at LONGBOAT PASS, not Shell island like in April.

Had a great time....we had some last minute no-shows and some last minute rcruits so....I think we did 11 Whalers, 1 seacraft, A robalo and a Procat. So 14 boats and about 40 people. Unfortunately there was still a few gallons left in the keg. Eric won the oldest boat award which was a nice Whaler banner for his 62 16'. I will get something together for Jimh and his cetacea section tonight hopefully and get that off to him asap. I need to know who has pics they want to be submitted. I need those e-mailed to me asap. I have about 40 pics on my digital, not sure how many will come out. We had beautiful weather except the water had some seaweed in it until about 4pm. More will come from those who attended so I will leave room for everyone else. Thanks for the plaque and will talk to everyone soon. Nick
