I finally got my new/used 1991 15 ft. GLS home this morning @ 2AM from North Carolina. Slept until 7:30 and then started getting it ready for a test run in the river. It had/has folding bucket seats but they have to go as they are two restricting in placement with no movement. So I want to put some nice white snap down bench cushions. Who make 'em?

See link to picture of boat.

Perhaps someone with a 1991 catalogue could check to see if Whaler offered a cushion set option on the 15-GLS. If so, you might be able to order them from Whaler.

If not, I am sure a local boat upholstery place could create something for you.

Also, there are a couple of Florida vendors who specialize in Whaler cushions. Perhaps others can recommend them, as I don't have their names handy at this moment.

4whaler,

You can get a set of cushions from Hall's Nautical Upholstery. The set for the 15' GLS is $325. I'm sure they can make them in whatever color you want including the original Whaler style upholstery. http://hallsnautical.com/price.htm

Rob, that's a beautiful boat. I bet you were grinning from ear to ear all the way home with that gleaming Whaler in tow.

I don't have near as far to go pick up my 15 Sport, but I can hardly wait. Now the plan is to pick it up on Tuesday (Christmas Eve) rather than waiting until Jan. 2. That'll let me start polishing gelcoat over the holidays.

As relayed via private e-mail as well, Lois Hall prompty responded to my request for information about cushions for my model. For my particular boat, the price is $165 for the bow cushion and $235 for the rear seat cushion and the cushion for the back rest. $25 for shipping. I probably will have to order the front seat cushion at another time. Not cheap, but Hall's reportedly will do a good job. Piping and pleats and good materials and workmanship, so I'm told. Ready in 7 to 10 days.

I'll give my review after I place my order and receive the cushions. Have fun outfitting your boat.
