The county of Lexington, SC has a bid out for a new 25 Guardian. You may find the detailed specs fun the read. What a boat! http://www.co.lexington.sc.us/data/proc_pdf/b03007.rtf

After reviewing those specs, it's easy to see why they seldom come up for surplus sales. They're built like fortresses. I looked for a Guardian to restore for many years until I aquired one 975 miles away in New Jersey recently. It was worth the wait and worth the trip for a boat that'll last a lifetime.

There is a very big mistake in the bid.In the very beginning of the bid under the the fuel filter discription, the request is made for only carbureted engines, but then under the motor discription they want Optimax's(problems).Somebody screwed up and it wasn't corrected. For work boat i would want the reliability of a carb over the ????? of the electrics on the Opti system long term.
