I have the two tanks in my boat, and have never gone below 1/4 tank before until this week when I went about 70 miles offshore. We caught 5 yellowfin and 5 mahi that day. I filled up last night and put 100 gallons. I think the main tank is 70, so is the stern tank the same? I was still showing a little above 1/4 tank. Just wanted to verfiy.

Two tanks? The standard tank on the 1986 22-Revenge was 77 gallons. The large tank was 129 gallons (52 extra gallons) and had dual withdrawal fittings.

The large tank replaced the standard tank and eliminated the aft well since it used that space.

So how big were those tuna and dolphin? How was the weather? We you fishing wrecks?

Thanks I found the info. We went out 70 miles trolled all day, and I took my wife out yesterday and ran probably another 15 miles on 100 gallons total. Thats pretty good for my old smoking Johnsons.

We went to the 226 hole off Charleston SC, and trolled the ledges. We found some rips and temp breaks. The tuna ranged from 25 to 40 lbs, and the dolphin in the 20 to 35 lb range. The weather was great that day ran out at 25kts and came in around 30kts.

I have the same boat with 129 tank and no live well. Do you have dual ob's. What size? I am currently replacing my twin 115 yamaha's with twin 140 suzuki's 4stokes. I am interested in seeing what type of range I will might get with them. Any thoughts?

I do have twins on the boat. They are 4cyl Johnsons which may not be as good on gas as your yamahas. I have an alum t-top on my boat which adds a good bit of weight, we had 3 guys on the boat 600 lbs and all other gear including fish, so we were pretty heavy. I probably went about 160 to 180 miles total and had 29 gallons left. The four strokes would probably give you the same range since the would run less rpm to get same speed.
