Can anyone tell me how the bimini is supposed to be erected on a 18'6 Outrage? I have an original Mills, but it doesn't seem to fit, no matter if slid forward, or backwards, or turned end for end. The tie downs don't match the tie eyes - any Photos ?

Thanks

I don't have pictures, but I can explain how I think it should fit. When folded toward the bow, the long straight-sided bow should be on the bottom, so it lies flat. If you put the curved bow on the botom, it won't lie flat and will vibrate and cause wear on the canvas. When putting it up, slide the bows all the way to the rear of the slides, and there are probably snaps on short canvas straps attached to the rear of each slide to keep the base fittings for the bows back there. Then there are probably six straps to secure. Four of these are all the same, black fabric with snap hooks on ends and adjustments for length. These run from each corner to pad eyes. Just adjust the lengths so that the top is level with the deck. The final two straps are probably more like rope, and run from the center cross-bar of the Bimini to a single loop in the center of the top bar of the console handrail around the windscreen. These are to add stability against side to side movement, and are again adjustable for length.

There is a photo on the continuouswave 18ft outrage reference page which shows the setup:
