A guy out here is advertising a 19 ft Whaler "Justice" -- claims he paid $50K new for the boat with a 135 Honda 4 stroke. I've never heard of this model; could someone describe, please.Tony

It is a model from Boston Whaler's commercial line. It has a deep-vee Accutrack hull. http://web.archive.org/web/19981205170949/http://www.whaler.com/commercial/justice/Default.htm#19 |

I priced the hull and it is $24,995 with no options in white gelcoat. Options would include railings, etc. |

Scratch that I priced the 18' Guardian. The 19 justice has 130 as min hp, 225 max. The honda 130 would seem really weak to me. |

Tony,The Justice models are Government and Commercial Products models. You can see the 19' Justice on page 7 of the 1997 Commerical Products Catalog on Volume 2 of the Boston Whaler Catalog Collection on CD. According to the Commercial Products price list from that year, the 19' Justice started at $19,243. Add some options, a motor, trailer, electronics and sales tax and I can easily imagine it cost $50,000 when new. |

Thanks, Tom,Of course I should have looked in my catalog, and thanks again for your great work with it. For you Whaler nuts, bitter or not, who haven't purchased Tom Clark's catalog CDs yet, you don't know what you're missing. I probably should have used the search engine here too, but then I would have missed all the anti-atty sentiments ...jeeeeeezzzze, guys, we ain't all so nasty. I'm getting to feel like a dentist--occasionally necessary but never loved...poor me. Tony |

Tony - with you, we're just having some fun. With "Trafficspammer", we're not. |

Don't worry, lhg, we lawyers soon grow thick shells like tortoises...and the ones who work for insurance companies and bill by the hour soon learn to move at tortoise-like speed. Maybe they can affort a $50k nineteen foot outboard motorboat...not me!Tony |

In the scales o’ Justice:On the left, we have playintraffic poster-child with 227 posts (and counting) and accumulated value contributed to Continuouswave, altitude equivalent to the City of New Orleans, weighin’ in at minus 3 feet. On the right, we have Mr. lhg with 4,773 posts (and counting) and accumulated value contributed to Continuouswave, altitude equivalent to Mt. McKinley, toppin’ out at 20,320 feet. All scientific’ly measured with mah own fademeter, we report. You decide.

Plaintiff lawyer was feelin’ damn good as he’d just won a gazillion dollar judgement against a hairspray manufacturer for not properly labelin’ their cans t’the effect that their product should not be consumed by habitual cigarette smokers as such persons might be prone t’explode into a ball o’flame. As he left the courthouse on a wintry January day, he slipped and fell, irreparably severin’ his spine and renderin’ himself a floor-crawlin' quadriplegic. He sued the judge, the courthouse and the city, of course, for wrongful injury. Sadly for our protagonist, the judge ruled against him, citing the circumstances as obviously…Just ice.

Number of posts? Who cares, you measuring on your bullshit meter? Mr. lhg seems to always come on and incite this type of negative rhetoric.

Getting back on track... the Justice 19 appears to be the commercial version of the Outrage 20 of the same period. Same dimensions, weight and HP ratings. |
