I am interested in purchasing a BW, but need some help To ID it and get an aprox. age. The name plate is well worn and impossible to read. It is 16' in length 5'beam, The sterring station butts up to the starbord side and 2 bucket type seats infront of the sterring station. How does 5K sound for this boat. 2 year old Evenrude 70 and trailer.

Sounds like a Katama (canvas windshield on console) or a Newport (plastic windshield on console plus another small windshield on the bow). They were made for a span of many years, so it's hard to guess how old it is. Check for a serial number on the transom, take a good look at the shape of the hull bottom, and then go to the "Reference" section on this site to help narrow down the age. |

White or blue on inside? Square or triangle front hatch? |

The boat does not sound like a Boston Whaler, it is over a foot too narrow to be the 16-foot Whaler hull. |
