My 1970 Nausett has an original foil capacity sticker on the inside of transom, port side next to the well. The top edge has been curled over and is not readable, however I can make out the 13' and 17' passenger capacity numbers. Was wondering if OEM Fisher Pierce Co. stickers would be availabe. The boat is extreemly clean and having the correct foil lable would be great. The local whaler dealer does not have a replacement sticker.

It's a long shot, but it's worth calling Chuck Bennett at Whaler. When I spoke with him last year he had a box full of old capacity plates - he just didn't have one for my boat. I don't have chuck's contact information handy or I would include it here. I've got the information at home, though, so I'll post it when I get home if nobody beats me to it. |

If you could get someone who has the same boat to take a high quality digital close-up, you might be able to get a print shop to duplicate.Ll. |

I made one. It took me about 1 month to get all the typeset and font right in Paint Shop Pro. I went off of my 1968 sticker which was 50% intact. Another member also sent me a picture of his. I had to print out on a gray metallic paper and laminate it. I affixed it to the transom well with 3M spray adhesive on the back of the laminate. Still on there strong. The original sticker was probably epoxy silk screened on foil tape. I did send a copy to Chuck Bennett and he was happy to get it. I am going away on vacation, and will be back in 2 weeks. If you want one, let me know. I will only charge a few bucks for shipping, paper and laminate costs. I think it came out very close to the original. Dave |

Click here to see what I did:http://users.snip.net/~drobbie/CAP STICKER052203A.jpg The quality of the jpeg shown here is not that great, it is just to give you an idea. When it is printed out from the original file I made, the text and logo is razor sharp.

Wow! Great looking sticker. Can you post the photoshop file for us guys who want to print our own? (some of us may "need" to tweak the horsepower number before we glue it on our little boat) |
