I'm hoping to sell a Whaler purchased new by my father in 1984. Is this indeed a Super Sport model?

It runs well and has a dodger, automatic bilge pump, and 6HP kicker engine. We have placed it with a broker who is asking $8,200. Is this a fair asking price?

Thanks,

Sure is a Super Sport. Depending on a closer inspection, that price may be a bit on the high side, but location and condition can affect price significantly.

As the owner of a 1984 17' Super Sport, I can also verify the model as being a SS. There was an ad in the Boat Trader down here in Lauderdale for another 84 SS, asking 10K if memory serves, but it had a new Yammy 90 and a trailer.

Are the bench seats original on your SS, mine came with 3 5.5" boards for the rear pew and my front pew did not extend beyond the console.
