Dusky Marine just called and my 2008 90 hp E-Tec has arrived at their store. Whoo Hoo!!! I will have the boat all pre-rigged with the I-command Digital Guage, Memory Device (for fuel used function), Nema 2000 Network and hopefully the GPS receiver (if they have that in stock). Also there is the brand new BRP binnacle control, thottle and shift cables and wiring harness, all of the rigging equipment was purchased thru Seabob4 at a great price. And a full tank of oil free gas. I also swapped the hydraulic jack plate from the 19' LowPro (it seemed useless there, boat did not like to run a high engine). I am towing the boat down and the engine will be bolted on there, cables hooked up and started up for warranty. Len |

When you get her all rigged, give us some pictures. That thing is going to be a screamer. |

Sweet! Post pictures once she's rigged, that's going to be one sharp looking Whaler. Can you share your source for BRP rigging parts (Seabob 4)? |

Seabob4 is a CW member and supplied all the rigging. I will be posting pictures on Sunday. And some performance data. I live in Bradenton, will be at Dusky Saturday morning 8am. I have seen 47 with the '87 mercury 70hp I had on it before. I am hoping to break 50mph and double to triple the fuel mileage. Oh yes, and save the planet;o) Len |

I would say 1) mount the engine 2) push the buttons to let it break itself in 3) make sure you have gas 3) grind up some of them Pina Colatas we pounded last year - drink the blender jug full to empty 5) leave wife on shore 6) get into boat 7) idle out of channel 6) drop the flippin hammer!! and hang the f on baby!!!!!!!!!!! |

Better not forget to wear the safety lanyard! |

I am interested in seeing how it performs and how well the hull handle the extra weight. |

Me too! I will be there in 1 hour to find out. Will report later... Len |

Good luck today. This thing shoud rip. I'm sure Len has the perfect prop already. |

Well, I launched it today. Wow! I only drove it back from the launch ramp so far, OK I took the long way, saw 47 on the GPS at 5150 rpm. Due to no water pressure gauge I did not run it jacked or tilted all the way, The starter prop was a 21" SST II. Will have good performance numbers by the end of the day, I just hooked up the water pressure gauge. If I every come back;o) PS. it seems to sit about the same in water as with the 70 Merc and manual jackplate. I did throw a 25lb block of lead in anchor locker. Pics: Len |
