I'm looking for online stores that sell round fenders. I'm looking for the smaller size around 9 or 10 inches in diameter. Other than the usual West Marine and Boater's World, what are some decent places to look. Price and service reviews would be appreciated. |

Oyster - I have 4 of these on my Outrage. http://picasaweb.google.com/CascoBayOutrage/2008PiscatisquaRiver/ photo#5208469665378826818 Hamilton's is my local chandlery and is a very good place. Staff are very knowledgeable, a bit gruff (NE charm). While their website is not the most polished, can't go wrong. |

After looking around for fenders and finding the ones at, say, West Marine overpriced (in my opinion), I bought a couple of ball-type buoys from Bass Pro: I also bought some cylindrical-type fenders from Overton's: For me, choosing a retailer (online or local) always involves a calculation between quality/suitability of the product, price and shipping cost/time. |

I ordered from Bass Pro Shops today. The price was half what West Marine charges here locally. Gee whiz I don't know how they stay in business with the prices they charge. Thanks for the recommendations. I'll file them away for future reference. |

I've found West Marine to be real good about matching prices, even for on-line sellers. Just bring in the catalog page. Saves time and shipping costs also. They seem to be getting more and more competitive. |
