I recently got a 1970 Boston-Whaler-type boat. The title says that it is a Boston Whaler but I have sent pictures to other sites and they say that is definitely not a Bosotn Whaler. Did Boston Whaler make any other boats under a different name back then? Or were any boats made back then to look like a Boston Whaler? It is a foam filled boat. The boat does not have any ID tags on it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. |

Post a picture of your boat at a photo hosting website. |

Sounds like a McKee Craft looked just like a whaler and was foam filled. I think the small one was 14 feet |

Tom Clark (a highly respected member here and on WC) and very knowledgeable whaler owner reviewed the photo and gave it a "thumbs down", not a whaler. Cf: http://www.whalercentral.com/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=5323& pid=31200 |

I did notice today that it used to have about a 6" oval shaped decal on both the port and starboard sides of the hull, all the way in the rear. Not sure who used an oval decal but it might spark someones memory. It also looks like the boat used to be blue. And the rub rail is red. Thanks |

To me it looks like one of the models built by Dell Quay out of Chichester, England. If you do a search for "Dell Quay", you'll see some close to what you have. |

I found out that the boat was made by Nautical Boat Works in Gloucester VA. If anyone knows anything about them let me know. I cant find anything about them online anywhere. |
