...or better: Who's Whaler this was?

This shouldn't be too difficult.

It is great to see that New England boat made it safely across the pond.

Looks different without the crazy colored classic Ford F-150 towing it!

Congrats Erik! That is a beautiful boat....one of the best products exported from America's this year!

nice rig take some more pictures. I saw a rib Whaler going up my canal. It was black hull with gold trin on the ribs and it really looked good. It may sound tacky but it was nice.

No fellas, it wasn't me that bought JayRs boat. (not yet anyway ;-)) I just happened to stumble upon his ex-boat when we went to buy my buddy's new 40-hp Yamaha engine in Raamdonksveer in Holland. What a small world it is!
The dealer, owned buy Ed Nieuwenhuizen (a really nice guy), had it on his lot as we arrived to pick up the controls, panel meters and steering system of the Yamaha. Sorry if the title may have been misleading but I knew many here would recognize JayR's ex- Whaler with the E-Tec on her.
Ed told me that he really loved the E-Tec 150 but he's gong to have to replace it with a different brand of engine. The thing is that he's a Mercury/Yamaha dealer and it would be bad advertising for his own business if her were to leave the Evinrude on his "Flag Ship". He's replacing it with a 150 Optimax. He thinks the 150 Verado would be a bit heavy. I asked him why not a 150 Yamaha? He believes that he wouldn't be satisfied with the hole shot compared to the others mentioned. The E-Tec is up for sale for 1/3 of the normal price here.

Tell that dealer to put a Verado 150 on the OUTRAGE 21. I though for sure someone would have already done that, but Jay's old boat could be the first.

I hope the new owner joins your informal Dutch/Belge Whaler club, Erik. That beauty would steal the show, even compared with your sweet MT170 and your friends' fine boats. As nice as it gets, IMO.

Tony

By the way, Warren/WT and I are hooking up with Hans Jacobs (visiting from the Netherlands) tomorrow--Sunday--morning at Gas House Cove Marina 9 a.m. and taking him for a S.F. Bay cruise. Last chance to join us, CWers. More info over in the Rendezvous forum if anyone's interested.

Tony, I'm pretty sure he will join us next season when we set up another rendezvous. I also will try to persuade him to sell me his boat sometime in the near future :-).
I hope Hans and his wife have a great time and you guys get some great shots.

I love that 21 Outrage and it is surely going to make many heads turn.

These boats seem to be very stable. Would a 150 Verado really be too heavy for this boat?

This should read 1/3 LESS than the normal price. I forgot the words "less than" in my statement. Sorry about that.
If it would be 1/3 of the normal price I would buy it myself and put it on my 170 Montauk :-).

Erik, you can tell your friend not to worry about the hole-shot. I have a 1977 21' powered by a Honda 135 and she jumps up on plane.
