Has anybody ordered anything from discount marine supplies.com? I ordered several items for my Whaler from them, paid instantly, and it's been about 3 weeks - no parts, and one email to my inquirries that basically said the holidays delayed everything. Here it is, 2 weeks after the holidays, and nothing. I've emailed several times more to ask for a tracking number, and got NO RESPONSE. Their phone number on the website goes to a recording directing me to an email address. I was wondering if this is an isolated incident, or if anyone else has had a problem with them. They seem to have great prices, but good prices mean nothing if I do't get what i ordered, and even the bare Customer Svc. Mav

Mav, I ordered an outboard motor bracket from a place on the west coast last spring. Can't remember the name, but couldn't get a hold of them, no tracking # etc. Long story short, the part did arrive in about 4 weeks by USPS and I received an e-mail about 6 months later to say that the part was shipped.

It did work out.

Take care,

David

Did you pay with a credit card? If you did call your credit card company and cancel payment on the charge on account of not receiving your order in a timely fashion or hearing from the company any explanation.

Mav,
I am assuming you paid through PayPal. If that is the case just go to the transaction in PayPal and file a dispute. After a few days if still no reply, then you can file a claim with PayPal. After you file the claim the seller has 10 days to reply or you are automatically refunded your money.

There was a time when PayPal really only protected the seller but they have a great dispute process now to protect the Buyer. They do examine your emails and communications to ensure you attempted to resolve the situation so always make sure you communicate through the eBay Message Center and not through your personal email program. I have had two purchases this past year where I filed a claim and PayPal refunded my money in full as part of their Buyer protection.

As for discount Marine, I have purchased from them on eBay in the past with no issues. Good Luck
