Please keep an eye out for this stolen Boston Whaler boat. It is believed to be numbered 299 out of 300 in the special anniversary edition. It has a blue interior, white hull, and white steering wheel.

KEY WEST, Fla. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says a $15,000 boat waiting to be raffled off to benefit a hospital has been stolen.

The boat, a 13-foot-3-inch special edition 2008 Boston Whaler, was reported stolen Friday from outside Mariner's Hospital in Tavernier, where it had been parked. A boat store in Islamorada had donated it to the hospital's foundation, which was charging $100 for raffle tickets to win the boat.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Stoppers of the Florida Keys at 1-800-346-TIPS.

As stated in a SunSentinel Blog, maybe the new owner can christen her the SS Madoff.
I hope they recover the boat. It's a pretty sick commentary on the type of person that would do something like this!

That boats sticks out like a sore thumb. If it has not been painted over, and is still in the US, it should be found.I have lived long enough to not be suprized by anything anyone does anymore.
