Took the family out on the 15 yesterday and we just happened to see the wayward whale. Video: http://picasaweb.google.ca/gerritneve/WhaleWatching#5313641353817219538
Overall, it was pretty cool to see the whale and a beautiful day to be on the water. |

Funny you should mention the whale..I just got back from having lunch at "C-Level" on Harbor Island and saw the whale from our outside patio dining table. There were a number of boats following it around along with a few "news" helicoptors...quite a sight to see in the San Diego bay. I was out on my Outrage on Sunday in Mission Bay...no whales in there though...hahaha |

Great stuff, KeyRat. Who's that little cutie on board (and what a thrill at that age!)? http://picasaweb.google.ca/gerritneve/WhaleWatching#5313641353817219538 Tony |

Hi Tony, That's my 2 year old daughter. She loved the seals on the buoys and the old bait docks. It will be nice when it warms up a bit more (can't complain about 65F though) so we can get her in the water. Gerrit |

FYI--if you want to make a link active here (as I just did above for yours), just add in front of your link and at the end. That's: bracketurlclosebracket at the very beginning of your link and bracketslashurlclosebracket at the very end. Nice photos and video. You know that by posting the link the way you did you just let the whole world into your entire picasa photo collection, right? Tony |

She's a lucky little girl, Gerrit. Enjoy while you can, and ignore the myth of the "terrible twos"...it's an amazing time to watch your kids just gobble up images, sounds, hugs, and learning. Man oh man--not to repeat that most clunky of all cliches, but time DOES fly. Fifteen minutes ago, while I was viewing your photos and thinking about my daughter at that same age, I got a call from her from Santa Cruz where she's a second year U.C. student. Another bad cliche: seems like yesterday ;-) Tony |

Hi Tony, Thanks for the kind words and heads up. She reminds me daily that it is her boat and not mine. ;) Gerrit |
