TransAm	posted 04-03-2009 10:56 AM ET (US)         I have posted a "wanted" in the market place for a 20' or 22' Whaler Temptation. I am looking for a project for a year or so and put into service in 2010, so it does not have to be in great shape, just solid, no wet foam, etc. Basically just not trashed. The boat I'm looking for would not necessarily have recent power on it either and should be outboard powered. Since I own a 25' Temptation, and I know they are not favored amongst most Whaler enthusiasts, I don't want my personal feeling to influence this valuation. All meaningful opinions welcome.
sraab928	posted 04-03-2009 01:10 PM ET (US)             For what its worth - I remember seeing one in need of work in NY a few months back. I think it also needed to be repowered. I believe the boat sold for $2500 - One thing I have noticed lately is the price of boats is way down. There was a 22 Revenge listed on Philadelphia craigslist with trailer and no motor for $1500 today. Crazy times I say.

I considered this vessel myself but my longterm needs would not be met.The kids want overnight!!! Who would upset their crew ? (5 and 8} I need/want a 25 Revenge with the funny lip. Not a desireable boat y many but the boat that fits into the fleet of oddballs.I don't need any power as Monday I won the bid on the local Police boats twins (optimax) as they move towards Verados}

flippa	posted 04-03-2009 05:36 PM ET (US)             There has ben a guy listing a pair of Temtations for sale on Boston Craiglist. I believe he had a 22 & a 25 ( or a 20 & 22) that both needed engines.
