Launched my 1987 Outrage 20 this week. These are the first pictures I've taken of her since I bought her in 2004. We haven't had much of a Spring here on Cape Cod, but I just coudn't wait any longer!

Nice looking Outrage 20. What kind of performance do you get with the 150 4 stroke?

Thanks everyone for your complimentary comments on the Crowhop. The credit for her condition really goes to all the helpful and knowledgable people on this site. Although I do not post often, I spend many hours a week 'lurking' on continuouswave. I am passionate about classic Boston Whalers. Janis @ Magic Brush, Sue @ Twin Cities, Larry's advice on wood care, the people @ Hall's, Tom Clark's suggestions on props, ect..(the list is long) have all helped me restore the boat to the condition it's in.

Perry, I can give you some very rough numbers now in terms of performance. The engine has performed better than I ever would have hoped for. The engine is a 2004. I'm @ 985 hours, and I've never had a single issue with it. Nothing. It has always performed flawlessly. I don't have any notes in front of me but here are some very general numers.

I tend to average approximately 250 miles per tank. This can cetainly vary a decent amount according to different operating conditions, usage, ect.. In nice conditions I can dial the boat in between 4.3 - 4.9 miles per gallon @ cruising speed, say, 26 miles per hour @ 4500 rpm.

In terms of speed...
Cruise @ 26-30 mph @ 4500-5000 RPM
WOT 39-41 mph @ 5900-6000 rpm
These speed numbers reflect a fairly light load. Two guys in the boat, half a tank of gas. Planes quickly.
I can record some exect #s for you in the next few weeks if you'd like.

Really nice boat crow. Tho I am restoring a 18 on a budget, if I had to start over, it would be a Classic 20.

Crow, those are good performance numbers, it seems you have it propped just right. It's good to have knowlegeable people like Tom Clark on this site to help out. Enjoy your season of boating.
