I was lucky enough to be in Oahu, Hawaii last week and while driving on the North Shore I had to stop and take a closer look at this Boston Whaler "labeled" boat. I say that because it had the logo on the back. I had to do a double take, subsequently turning the car around to take this photo. Unfortunately I only had the phone and couldn't get any closer as I was pulled over on the shoulder slowing traffic down. At first it looked like a pre-smirk 17 which someone rigged up most likely for fishing. It had a homemade looking console (spray dodger??)way up front. But I swear on my dogs head that it was stretched. For a moment I thought it was a topless or low-pro outrage, but I don't think it is. I know it sounds ridiculous, but someone extended this boat by about three feet. If this is too ridiculous then delete, but I thought I would post. Wish I could have gotten closer. PS: No chemicals were in me except caffeine and garlic shrimp. Bret

That is no Whaler though it was derived form a splashed smirkless 16'-7" Whaler hull. |

I can't imagine the ride in rough waters. I'm guessing it was used as a specific type of fishing/crabbing vessel! |
