We just got back from the Blue Angels show in Pensacola,FL. We were in our trawler and our 3 day trip covered about 195 miles.
While we missed having one of our whalers we did see a few, where we anchored there were over 1000 boats watching the show and a guy from fl said there were about another 500 boats west of the bridge and over 200 offshore.

Thanks for your photos.

These provide a clear example of the great lines of a classic Whaler and where modern Whaler has missed the bus. That 320 is simply ugly and I hope I am not offending anyone who has one on this site, but WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

Thank You for making my day.

That barbeque barge is the real classic!

Yea that one we were not sure about , they most likely park it on the trailer right outside their back door and use it as a deck. It could use a little whaler unsinkability.

2many, I too was there at Pensacola Beach for the Blue Angels: just got back Monday. Unfortunately, I was there as a landlubber watching from the beach. My 9 year old was sailing his Optimist in the Junior Olympic Regatta the weekend before at the Pensacola Yacht Club and Daddy spent that weekend on a 42ft. Hatteras watching kids sail. Should have brought the Whaler for both events. I will next year. By the way, my boy took bronze in the White Fleet.

The Blue Angels are truly amazing!

hauptjm,

two things I am glad about, 1. we skipped the opti program as our daughter started in lasers and 2. we didn't watch the Blue Angels stuck in the traffic jam on the Pensacola Beach Bridge.
