I need to replace two Goodyear B78 13 ST Tires for my Shorelander trailer....does anyone know where I could buy them...or if they are no longer available, what size would replace them? |

Surprisingly, there's been a topic about obsolete B78 tires. |

It is my experience that most retailers of Goodyear tires can special order a trailer tire if they don't carry them in stock. Some boat trailer super-stores carry trailer tires and will ship them. You can send tires via the usual delivery services without too much expense. The "B78" is an older marking system in which the letter indicated a tread width and the number indicates a tire profile. This marking system has been replaced with a numerical system. A tire retailer can help you find the equivalent replacement tire. |

Great chart! In a 13-inch tire, a B width was equivalent to a "175", thus B78-13 would be a P175/80R13 passenger tire now. For a trailer tire, ST175/80R13. According to the chart, the letter system was from the 1970's. That seem like a long time ago, almost 40-years. Just how old is that trailer tire you need to replace? |
