New here, so, if in the wrong place, please redirect: Have recently purchase an older tin boat, the motor is a 5.5hp Johnson, no serial numbers on plates to be found, a small (Quarter size, shiny circle, located on the botton side of engine has the following number: J2442187. Does this number indicate anything ? Have tried to match it from computer motor lists, NO info there. |

Dave, what do you mean "2002"? All of the posts in that thread were dated today. Were you looking at registration dates? |
