Hello Guys, I bought a 13 feet Boston Whaler. The hull number is BWCL 1099 H 586. Can anyone tell me the building year? Thank you. Best regards from France. MC.

Your HIN appears to be in the NEW FORMAT used after c.1984. It decodes as follows:
The boat was built in August of 1985 and is designated a 1986 model.

Thank you Jimh, I could not understand the format given in the FAQ1 but I understand it now with your answer. I have not understand that the month was coded in letters with H for august. Everything is clear now. Thank you for your help and best regards from Brittany in France !!!
