I am now the proud owner of a 1992 OFFSHORE 27 with twin 250hp Yamaha engines on a triple axle Owen Aluminum Slide On trailer. She was delivered to Islamorada Fl.last night.I have been waiting for the sun to come up to get on board and start learning as there are so many systems and my 15 Sport is very simple. I am sure to have many questions in the future. The transport using USHIP was incredibly easy and I have never done this before. I strongly recommend the site. Chuck

Great! Can I come see it? I am in Key West this weekend. Or can you see it from the Overseas Highway, because I saw one driving in last night, just as the sun was setting, about twenty miles from KW.--- WhalerAce |

There is a 27 Offshore in the marina that we are likely to slip the newer to us Outrage 18. He has twin Yamahas (forget what HP) on it. He said he hits 50 mph, which is probably a little fast for me. It is a really nice rig.Congrats Conch. |

Okay lots of company, all the neighbors, set up the gorilla ladder to ease getting in and out for the cleanup crew.Found shorepower 30a inlet thats good, two panels one dc the other ac Need to trace the HIN# on paper to title in Fl. which was difficult at the stern plate but I found another brand new looking one in a compartment down below and it traced easily. The cleanup girls and guys are yelling for more bottled water and beer. WhalerAce did you get my Email? Champagne at sunset. Chuck |

Congrates...they are super boats...One of the coolest, but I like the 27 Aft Cabin more for coolness:) with the twin 250 ETECs Black Dog has on his...Not sure what the difference in layout is but I think the hull is the same.Your world will surly turn round and round with this one:) Have a ball:) |

Day two, have my coffee in hand,no one is awake yet and the sun is just coming up. Went outside to admire her in the early light.Hope to meet WhalerAce today if he stops by. I'm still tracking the many thru hulls especially in the transom, and looking for the freshwater tank. toomanytrains I know what you mean there is alot to digest and I had only seen a few photos of the boat before purchase. So far everything is as described or better. Chuckcongrats it's a great boat my favorite so far in my short years of collecting I have had a 1994 offshore 27 for the past 7 years and have rebuilt just Bout everything on board. if you have any questions feel free to ask here or email me The fresh water tank is aprox 35 gals and is in front of the bulkhead forward of the cabin bunk. The plumbing for it, pumps and thru hull, is on the starboard side in the locker behind the head. |

Contender25 Thanks for the water tank info,I knew you would know.We have read and re read each of your Offshore 27 threads, your photos and videos.I will be in touch.I see that I will need new hinges for the vent wing glass, they are shot.Someone on CW had a pair for sale I will have to search for that. Uship was the easiest part of the whole transaction (now I can search for Whalers coast to coast)getting a boat from a nontitle state a bit more complicated. I upgraded my ride also by buying a Ford LXT Supercrew FX4 5.4 engine with towpackage w/3.73 gears. My furthest tow would be about 1.5 miles and I wasn't ready for a diesel yet. Time to get outside Chuck |
