I was at the Bellingham harbor early in the week and saw Boondocks building were shuttered and the inventory of boats were gone. The paper this morning had a note in the business section saying that they were behind on the rent for Port of Bellingham, even though they owned the building. Interesting part is that Boondocks owns the SeaSport franchise and builds the boats at their facilities on Guide Meridian. They are still operating, but I have heard they have slowed down production some.
Just as side note, also heard the ClearWater Marine is having troubles since GenMar went out of business. I guess it is tough for any business in the marine industry at this time.
It will sure leave a gaping hole for repair shops here in Bellingham.

Yep, Boondocks shut down. SeaSport is still in business though. In fact, they recently purchased C-Dory and are now building the SeaSport, Osprey, and C-Dory lines.
