I've got a case of the old 2footitis. Every time this happens I start a collection of boat photos...yes, I start online stalking boat pictures and saving them all. Did so before I got my old Montauk and my current 18 Outrage. I like to go through them when I'm bored, use them for motivation, and think of how I would eventually have one setup. I've gone through Cetacea many times as well as the pages on Whalercentral. I've even gone through thehulltruth. If you have a classic 22' Outrage/Guardian, please post links to your boat. Not looking for Cuddy, Revenge models. Thanks! |

Any sort of review would be great too. Likes/dislikes, previous boat and how it compares, etc. |

Hmmm...quite a coincidence that Dave/buckda just happens to have all those photos of that beautiful boat, eh? (See his thread running currently in this forum entitled "Rumors.") Tony |

Tony, Dave was just reposting PTKROD's link as clickable. That is not the boat he is moving to. Jasper, After operating both of these hulls for a number of years I can honestly say the Guardian is a far better handling vessel than the standard Outrage. Though the standard Outrage really is one of the best boats for it's size I have ever rode on as well as operated. If you have specific questions about this hulls, or would like an in-depth talk on the of dynamics I have learned of each of these vessels please send me an email and I will shoot you my contact numbers. I can post more details later but, a phone conversation can go a lot further. BTW, You know our 22 Guardian is up for sale.... : ] Here are all the photos I have of the boat. These are the I have detail shots here. There are some good ones from this summer here. You can find other images and videos if you surf the sub folders in this main folder.

This shot Buckda took while heading up the South Channel of the St Clair River. I wish I had a High res shot of this image. This was my favorite image of the boat. Here is another shot I really like.
Here are all the images I shot of "THE" One of a kind 22 Outrage. We all when and looked at the boat in person for the 2007 BWGLCC Holiday get together. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v427/jeff_rohlfing/nice%2022/ ?start=all
I think that is all I have online. I have tons more of other 22's on my Hard drive. Hope this helps.

Oh yes...while you can find images of My 22 Outrage and the 22 Guardian in the Torch Lake folder, I also have images of Kingfish's 22 as well in there. In fact, there are a couple images of all 3 22's lined up. [qoute]You can find tons of images of both of our 22's here. |

Thanks Jeff. I've looked at both your restored Outrage as well as the Guardian many times. I actually have a few of the images saved on my folder already. If I had a choice, I would go Guardian. I love the grey hull. After all the photos I've seen, it seems as though they have changed the configuration throughout the years in regards to the front anchor locker and storage areas. I've seen them setup like the Outrage w/ Anchor locker, side storage and center fish hold (or whatever that is meant to be). I've seen them like yours no front locker, but w/ middle and side storage, and it seems the newer ones only have a front locker. The fishwell opening is replaced w/ a smaller water tight hatch, no idea if the storage area is the same size. I've seen a few different transom configurations as well. Full transom like yours, and one that looks more like a pre 89 tansom, excep the side of the splash well are the same height as the raised section of the splash well, seems to be all self bailing. Never seen one w/ a full splashwell like the 89-93 models. I'd love to hear about the boats. Will send an email shortly. |
