The largest Soviet WIG Vessel was known as the Caspian Sea Monster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZD3OICzTAs&feature=youtube_gdata These vessels are a long time favorite of mine. 10 years ago while at design school I designed a PWC inspired by these for Polaris. |

Last week someone at supercub.org posted this and I have to admit that I thought of Tony's post about putting a sail on his whaler. I thought maybe he could put a wing, a skirt, and a fan on a squall, but I held my tongue; I didn't want to pick on Tony. But since everyone else is I figured I'd pile on! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28lss0Wjp7A |

No sail, much as I still think that might work for downwind trolling, but a kite! Can't miss. Turn my Montauk into a big kite surfboard. Stay tuned this coming spring and find out if I'm just jokin'. Tony |
