Charlotte county is always looking for volunteers to help run these boats. You need a weeks worth of training to start.

That's a great deal, I would do the training, run a real nice boat on someone elses dime and terrorize unlawfuls ... do I get to carry a gun ??

Unless you are running that boat as strictly and search and rescue boat, don't run without a gun.
20 years as a marine patrol officer in Michigan, I have seen and had guns pulled on me on a few occasions. Not a lot of room to hide and fiberglass doesn't make good cover when the defication hits the ventalation.
