Recently I tried to purchase a Mercruiser Bravo two X outdrive from a Florida Mercruiser dealer and was told that the dealer could only get the drive as a complete package with an engine. The whole thing sounded pretty bogus to me but thought I'd ask here since many keep track of what's going on with Brunswick.
Please let me know if you have a screaming deal on a Bravo Two X with 1.8:1 gears or if you have any ideas for a reputable dealer who might. Thanks, Greg

Contact Michigan marine gear. I know they have all kinds of very nice used freshwater Mercuiser Drives. They also sell brand new rebuilt CPO drive units as well.

And, if you're so inclined, you might want to start trolling craigslist.
I check every day for pre-2000 Bravo III outdrives (to have as a spare), looking for the right deal to come along.
There are dozens of outdrives available out there. Just enter the following into google:
mercruiser bravo outdrive site:*.craigslist.org
