If you are not already convinced that Boston Whalers have no equal then prepare to be enlightened. Andy and I took his 18' Boston Whaler Guardian out fishing last Thursday. In the anchorage we spotted a dozen Sea Lions resting on a small floating object. The Sea Lions had apparently destroyed an inflatable boat that was bobbing close by. We approached them slowly to get a better look at the object that they were on and found that it was a very badly damaged 13' Boston Whaler. Despite having the gunnels ripped off and the bow missing this Boston Whaler remained floating level while supporting the weight of 12 Sea Lions. I turned to Andy and told him All the best Bill |

Bill - You may want to send that to Boston Whaler for their advertising. It gives a new definition to "unsinkable". Impressive! |

Several people have asked if they could post the photograph of "12 Sea Lions in a Boston Whaler" on their websites. You have our approval ! I would ask that you credit the photograph to Andy Busch. Andy and I were out fishing when we came across this over burdened 13' Boston Whaler. The photograph was taken with Andy's cell phone. Ironically my digital camera fell from my pocket several weeks prior when we were launching Andy's newly acquired 18 Boston Whaler Guardian. Bill |

Great, witty shot. Should go in a BW catalog, but since the Brunswick corporate bean counters took over, the old firm's sense of humor seems to have fled. Here are a couple of shots of tricked out Whalers salmon fishing off the coast of northern California, about 60 miles north of San Francisco. The photos have absolutely no relevance to this thread (other than its title), but enjoy anyway: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b309/elaelap/FoggyWhalers022.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b309/elaelap/FoggyWhalers024.jpg Tony |

Looks like the one that was poled around Green Turtle in the Abacos years ago. It barely had anything left of the boat topsides, but it still floated a man around well enough to be fished out of... Great pic. |

Greg The original image, from the cell phone camera, was marginal. All the best Bill |

Good news travels fast ! I placed a call to Chuck in the Customer Service Department of "Boston Whaler". It is often times difficult to explain how incredible safe Boston Whalers truly are. All the best to you, your families, and your "Boston Whalers". Bill |
