Actally Yes! Saturday the 11th. As a firefighter with 25 years in, I was actually thinking of skipping the annual trip into Brooklyn for first time since pre-9-11. Was just going to bypass and head straight to the Cape for some well needed R & R. Then two weeks ago I find out an old friend lost the battle against breast cancer and her ashes are going to be spread in a ceremony on a Monmouth County beach somewhere. Finally the Becker brothers, "Trade Off", hear I'm going to be in town and want me to run down to Cape May for the races on Saturday. All I want to do is Get To Truro, and some Stripahs! Check out www.jerseyspeedskiffs.com for the details. zot. |

Weather on Cape Cod is still very summer-like. Hurricane Earl did not change things much last weekend. Sometimes a big storm can mess up the fishing for the rest of the season but Earl blew through so fast there was very little disruption. The striper fishing in Truro should be good. |
