I ran across this site this evening and for it interesting. It provides a list of fuel stations that sell Ethanol free fuel by state. You can click at on the state abbreviation at the bottom of the page for a complete list in that state, or click on the map link to view them in google maps.

Wow. Look at the map from NJ up through Mass.

Sad.

Thanks for the map! Nothing closer than a 45 min drive from my house, I hope most of you are luckier than me about real gas. :(

Interesting, thanks for that. Wisconsin looks like they may be the per catipa leader.

Thanks for the posting. It turns out I have a gas station just a couple of miles away.

There are marinas in my area of Northern Michigan that sell ethanol free gas that are not on the list. Some have a sticker on the pump, some you have to ask.

Happily I live in a county that sells "Good Old Gas" at premium prices. I am not complaining, my 1966 Homelite would not take ethanol too kindly.

Nothing in CT and only 5 stations in CA, the closest 3+ hours away. Disappointing to see the saturation of Ethanol.

One more reason to stop at the Pines in Baraga, MI on the way to Isle Royale. I'll remember in the future to fill the boat up at that location on the way up and on the way back.

Thanks, Jeff!

I just filled up with 30 gallons of non-ethanol mid-grade gas at a local station. The price was $4.16 per gallon. The price for mid grade ethanol gas is closer to $3.60. That's quite a premium to pay but there is only one other station in my area (that I know of) selling non-ethanol and it is 25 miles from me.

Marina gas prices in the Orange Beach area last week were about $5.80. It is non-ethanol with Valvetech (sp?) additive. I was happy to pay the $4.16 locally.

I'm told my Verado definitely prefers non-ethanol gas so I'm happy to use it.

Butch -

I just put 20 gallons in my truck in Tuscaloosa - 3.57 a gallon vs. 3.47 for the ethanol "enhanced" stuff.

Plus, at this store, if you buy more than 8 gallons, they throw in a small, hand dipped ice cream cone for free. Strong motivation for a Michigander in this hot Alabama sun...

Highly prophetic Liz, to those of us who understand one of the many insidious ways ethanol destroys the fuel system not designed for it.

Dave,

Welcome to Alabama. Hope you're having a great time. Tuscaloosa is a nice town.

I love the south when I visit on work trips. The balmy air is soo nice when I bring along a cigar. Birmingham is one of my faves... great food. Jackson has a great little Caribbean joint, and one of the cabbies there is an EXTREMELY knowledgeable, all-species fisherman. I always tap his brain when I get a chance. He says he can pressure cook/can carp in such a way that you can't distinguish it from canned salmon.

Peter,

B'ham has a lot going for it but since my years in the DC area I'm done with large cities.

If you get an opportunity to go farther South to the Mobile area and the beaches in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach you may be surprised at how nice those areas are. Southern hospitality and good manners really do exist and are alive and well down here.

Y'all come on down.

I would check out Fairhope, Daphne and Magnolia Springs in Southern Alabama also. Wouldn't live anywhere else (but don't tell anyone :-)

Thanks for the link Jeff. I found a station in VA that is close to my office and filled up on some E-free gas. The price at the station was comparable to the E-10 prices...about $3.55/gallon. Thanks again,

Robert

Who updates this listing? Users, or some agency?
I found it to be accurate for my area, gas last week was $3.26, now its $3.49, what in the world happened?
Gas should not be a traded commodity,I cant believe Im going to say this, but the Government should just take over all gas sales in the US, it almost cant be any worsely controlled.
