I saw this a couple of weeks ago and it blew me away. A whale in distress could have easily compromised that little skiff. Her celebration after her release was awesome.

Very cool, what an experience. I was surprised that they were working from the stern of the skiff, many times with three people on the same side of the boat.

Pat--they were tripping all over the fishing line at one point and I was afraid a slight movement on the part of the whale would have pulled someone with the line into the drink. Sure, they fumbled but in the end, saved the whale.

Nicely filmed and recorded, and apparently not much panic involved. I don't think many people would have gotten in the water with a whale in that circumstance.
