It was a nice day to be on the water. I know its really the AIWW but I never met anyone around here who calls it that, so I am going to say ICW. Left Charleston heading north. First stop was Price's Inlet, which runs between Bull Island and Capers Island.[A few revisions later...] UGH. I promised ALL the links this time. That's what I get for quitting drinking. It was a nice day to be on the water. I know its really the AIWW but I never met anyone around here who calls it that, so I am going to say ICW. Left Charleston heading north. First stop was Price's Inlet, which runs between Bull Island and Capers Island. We then headed North, past McCllellanville and eventually got to Georgetown after crossing Winyah Bay, which can be a little nasty. We ran back down the ICW to Charleston.
Great day, didnt use too much fuel, and even got some work done before and after the trip. |

Its easier to see them as a slideshow I guess. Was just trying to chronicle the day and the utility of the boat. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v672/dnh2/August%2018%202011%20trip/ ?albumview=slideshow |

Thanks for the narrative and pictures. I tried to help out with the hyperlinks. I think I got most of them to work. Sorry it can be a bit tedious to post these links. We keep talking about visiting the Charleston area by boat. From what we have read and what we see in these pictures, Charleston, South Carolina, looks like a wonderful destination. I hope we get there some day. For us, from Michigan, it is two-days of highway trailering away. We seem to have lost our enthusiasm for long boat trailer trips, but if there is anything that could restore it, a trip to Charleston looks like the cure. |

Now tell the true story of how you got a Yamaha F250 with a white cowling. |

Reds Ice House has got to be my all time favorite since moving down here over 18 years ago. But being two hours north, combined with the fact that I have NOT quit drinking, I have found myself waking up in a room with a view of Reds from across the creek. Shem Creek Inn is affordable, clean and close. Most recently spent my 44th birthday there last December. Can't remember the last time I visited Charleston, and did not jump the new bridge to Mount Pleasant, to enjoy the coldest adult beverage in the area. Ultimate day trip destination in my 15...some day. Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. zot. |

Jim if you just fly down you can have the Outrage for a week or so. For real. I'll leave it in the water at Tolers Cove Marina. Has a nice Garmin 545s on it. I really don't mind. These Whalers can be so fun. Yesterday my brother and his wife came to town and spent the day in my 15 Sport. He apparently had s blast and apparently has not quit drinking either. I have. Jim you are seriously welcome to the boat. |

The white Yamaha happened this way. Another guy in Charleston bought the same boat as me. He then had his Whaler stickers changed to red like mine. He then bought new cushions like mine. He then got a Yamaha 4stroke. I decided I had to do something different. Have a mechanic I don't have to pay anything. He pulled the engine. A local auto shop prepped and primed it then painted and baked it and put the new decals on. Thus, a white Ysmaha that matches the boat. I've seen a few other white ones on Intrepids in Florida. Even white Mercs. |
