Bob Talbot has done a quite nice video about the Gulf of the
Farallones:

Not strictly whaler-related, but a number of our members boat
there.

Chuck, an excellent video.

Matt and I cruised out to the Farallones from Bodega Bay in Strike3 on a nice flat day a couple of years ago.

I want to get back out there in my 170 Montauk when it's shark season....

A GoPro Video camera submerged might get some nice video of a Great White.

Let's plan a trip to the Farallones.

Loved it.

Masterfully presented, highly professional and beautifully done.

Not your usual You Tube video at all.

Highly recommended for anyone with 16 minutes to spare.

Inspiring work indeed. His other film is titled "Devils Teeth" and is out there on the internet as well. Kind of a rougher cut of the same type of material.

I've run into Ron at the local coffee joints. As you can tell by the film and his narration, he's a very eccentric but amazing guy. He sees great treasures where others see nothing.

Awesome video!!! Bob Talbot is well known around the world for his work underwater with a camera. My one underwater experience in Catalina keeps me wanting to come back to see just a fraction of the life in this video. By the bye, that looked like a well produced video that encompassed a lot of years of footage and some stock footage as a pitch for Farallons.org That is not a bad thing, a place like that needs protection and publicity.

P.S. Whales were in the video, it is Whaler related with some excellent whale sequences. Not fun to see the real life Whale hunters though.... Glad that we in the U.S. ended that....
