After enjoying the Boston Whaler group for the last 5 years, Donna and I are moving on. Our thanks to jimh and all the others we’ve corresponded with and met in person. We just purchased a 36’ Albin trawler in Caseville, MI and will be moving it down to the Lake Erie island area next week. We hope to see the CW Whalers out on the water in our travels. Terry Look for my 1992 Outrage-II in the classifieds in the near future. |

Hi Terry--Congratulations on the new and bigger boat. I assume you are going to be moving it by water from Caseville to Erie. What is your boat name? Maybe we can see you go by! |

You should keep the [Boston Whaler OUTRAGE] for some island hopping and exploring. Kidding aside, alot of folks do have small boats to run around in that area. Drew |

Terry- Fair winds, my friend. |

Smooth sailing! |

Realistically summer is almost over, you guys might as well keep the Outrage for Mullett Lake this fall and sell it next spring. |

I thinking that with the bad weather we have had at the Mullet Lake Color Tour, we could all fit on the trawler, eh. Con |

Well, we are really moving on. Sold our business, sold our house, sold all our furniture and moved on board last month. We are leaving next week to do the Loop. Erie, to Huron, North Channel, Michigan, to Il, Mississippi, OH, TN rivers, Ten-Tom, across the Gulf, Keys, Bahamas, East Coast ICW and back to the Great Lakes. After that, we may do it again. We hope to see you on the water. Terry & Donna Hoy |

Hi Terry (and Donna), You should start a blog or in some way keep us informed of your adventure. I have often thought about living aboard. I would be interested in hearing your experiences. If nothing else, you should install a Class-B AIS Transponder, and we can track your journey via AIS cooperative monitoring websites. Bon Voyage! |

Look for a 42 Grand Banks named EXPLORER headed the other way, we ought to be leaving Rhode Island about October 20th headed for the Tortugas (to start) via the ICW.

I was cruising my Outrage 18 out in Lake Erie today when I happened upon boat named Meridian. It was moored at the west end of Kelleys Island. I saw no signs of life aboard and no dingy around. We had just had lunch at the West Bay Inn. Good luck and nice looking vessel. Drew |

Congratulations Terry and Donna! You're living a dream I will probably never realize. It was a pleasure to meet you on the N.C. cruise years ago, and our dinner party at the (other) N.C. Yacht Club is still a pleasant memory. Please keep the blog up. If there's one thing I'm good at, it's living vicariously through others; especially up here in the Northland. I'm thinking we'll have snow in about 10 weeks... |

Drew, That was us. We were on shore. |

Just an update. We are in Georgetown, Exumas. 3,600 miles since July. In the past month in the Bahamas we've seen more Whalers than all we've seen in the states, 95% work boats. |
