Just a very quick note,wishing you all a very happy St. Patricks Day from here on the west coast of Ireland.
I`m sure there will be lots of you guys celebrating today...enjoy.

I am enjoying a SMITHWICK'S imported Irish Ale as I write this. We visited Ireland in May 2011--a great experience. My grandfather was born in Ireland.

I`m glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to Ireland Jim,and equally glad that you`re having a Smithwicks in memory of your Irish heritage.
I hope to visit the States myself someday,as I`ve never been.I`ve always seemed to have had a fascination with Boston for some reason.I can only guess it`s because when i was in my late teens and early twenties,a lot of my friends and neighbours went to America,and I always felt that I was somehow missing out on something.
I always think of those Irish who emmigrated, but especially today on St.Patricks day.

Thanks for the thoughts.
You would enjoy Boston. St Patricks Day is a big deal around here as there are a ton of the decendants of your countrymen here. There was just a huge parade yesterday in South Boston and the news was saying this moring that there were over 500,000 people in attendance.
All of my grandparents came over from Ireland a long time ago and we still talk to the relatives back there all the time. If you make it over, give us a shout & I'll arrange a tour of Boston from the water.
