I do not understand why I see the need to paint all of my stainless black on every Whaler I have owned, but, I did it again....

Looks good, but how in the heck do you get the paint to stick and not come off over time?

I really like this boat, and the black railings do look good with the other black trim on the hard top. What paint process are you using?

Well, let's see now..
Righteous model to be sure..
All black stripes going in the same direction.
Politically correct color for the anti fouling.
Love the hard top, very executive.
Perhaps much stronger sunglasses needed when taking her out on those bright and sunny days as chrome has a way to tire the eyes when reflecting intense light.
Dandy Whaler drive.
But wait..
To keep to the color scheme politically right..
Looks like it does need a new 200 4 strokes Mercury.

Love the model, they just don't make them like that anymore.

ASIDE to egres: I found that 11-year-old thread you linked-to to be rather fun to read with the benefit of hindsight. There were some really funny predictions made it that discussion.

Looks great Jay, you're putting it back together fairly quickly at this point. Are you intending to hang the motors and splash it this summer yet?

My eldest, Price, saw me looking at the photo last night, and when I mentioned it was yours, he told me to ask for a ride this August. So, we're looking forward to a ride this August

Thanks. Yes to all, my 225 Merc's are at the shop waiting for the mechanic to get some free time, no hurry at this point as we had snow flurries yesterday yet...My 2-3 year project came together much quick than anticipated!

I don't mind the black what made you decide to go that direction?
